Subject: HULL FLOOD AID concert Queens Gardens From: Sttaw Legend Date: 04 Sep 07 - 07:05 AM Hi, I have lifted this information from the Flood Aid myspace Mick Ronson Memorial Stage 12 noon – til late Queens Gardens & The Sugar Mill - HULL Here is the Queens Gardens Line Up: THE PADDINGTONS THE LAST PEOPLE ON EARTH GST CARDINALS THE LANDAUS LECORUM IVY SINS U2OPIA HARRI WATTS BAND THE BEARDS MY ONE MAN BAND DAVE ABBOTT FINE 69 STONE RAVEN We are all now well aware of the devastation the June floods had on our fair city of Kingston upon Hull.. The loss of life.. The £300 million pound repair bill.. The years of disruption to peoples lives.. From now, let's think about rebuilding a great future for Hull, and let's spread some good vibes! We have music and activities for everyone throughout the day, so bring all the family! We're also going to raise a few extra pounds selling Limited Edition CD's featuring the best and the latest tracks from some of the bands featured, T Shirts & Programmes on the day. With ALL profits being donated to the Hull CVS which is directing money directly to Hull's flood victims right now, we can make a difference. As you can see it features the best bands and acts in Hull at the moment, and is already bringing in a lot of publicity, and will sure bring in the crowds. Creative Events are providing an area which is more suited to children and families, bouncy castle, face painting etc, and as the music has such a wide appeal we would hope a lot of the crowd to be families. We are also hoping to confirm a couple of 'star' names in the line up. I have already got Roland Gift (Fine Young Cannibals) to provide us with something creative, and we're hoping Paul Heaton (The Beautiful South) will do likewise. After the days event in Queens Gardens, Hull Flood Aid continues at Hulls newest and most glamorous nightclub, The Sugar Mill until midnight, with more music featuring 2 rooms of acoustic acts and the top floor features a selection of local DJ's.
