It was yesterday and I was there too. And yes it was hot. And congratulations in getting them onto Mudcat so quickly- I haven't even downloaded mine off the camera.

It was cumulative really . The Smiffs finished a dance by going through the fountain - and thus Boggarts actually danced in the fountain. Then Sheffield City were trying to find a way of dancing on top of the water when it was time to go home. Mortimers also went through the fountain. Grenoside didn't but after all they are traditional.

Great municipal feature to play with and the event was enjoyed by hundreds who never realised Morris could be so much fun!!

I'd just like to point out that we'd planned this escaped prior to the Smiffs running through the fountains (when, I might add, they'd waited till they were at their lowest height:-)) Mortimer's managed it at the lowest ebb too:-). I suspect someone was watching who had control of the pressure because I don't think I've ever seen them higher than they were than during our dance.

I remained quite dry as they haven't produced a waterproof melodeon yet otherwise I would have been in the middle of it all (needless to say the dancers couldn't see or hear much at all so they did amazingly well in even getting close to getting the dance right).

A really fun day all round celebrating Lizzie Dripping's 25 anniversary.

Unfortunately I only I only had my phone on me, as i was just out for a quiet afternoon in Sheffield. I would have loved to get a video clip and I haven't quite worked out how to do it on my phone. They only reason i got the photos off so quickly was that i was changing the card in the phone.

Yes I thought there was someone at the foutain controls as well. What you can't see on the phtos is the little girl who was wandering around with them throught out the dance. How they didn't fall ove I don't know.
