I had a great time - the Mudgather, the late night singing, sessions in the Reindeer and the T & C ... gave me the chance to practice for a couple of my rare gigs over the next 2 or 3 weeks! I will really miss coming next year (can't really dodge my daughter's wedding, though). I know we'll all be meeting up again at Crediton or Miskin, , or Chippenham, or Sidmouth, Dartmoor, Bideford ... Love to all Henry |

What a lovely Gather it was, and yes, JUST enough time to get around everyone Once!! Seems crazy for a 3 hour session, but we did have a fair few Catters & Potential Catters turn up. As we were coming up to Draw time I was scooping up Catters who still hadn't sung and didn't manage to get MalcBedworth & Gill to sing before they had to leave for duties, for which I apologise profusely. I hope I didn't miss too many others, more apologies if so. Can't believe I didn't notice the sultry Blonde by the Bar at the start, I'll never live that one down.... Thanks so much to all who came, and stayed! Boy, was there some talent in the room *grin* Oh, and lots of chocolate (hurrah)!! Did everyone enjoy the 'dog-poo' lookalike? The MudRaffle raised £88 which I'll transfer into MudCat funds asap. Thanks so much to everyone who brought prizes & bought tickets and especially to my Right-hand Partner in Crime, the lovely Selchie-(RS). I'll pop the register on here in a couple of days when I've caught up with other stuff. Awful that the Town & Country was robbed that night!! I understand that the cash from the machines & pool tables was taken & that the thieves vandalised the place too. Hope they get what they deserve. Our Hosts were Fabulous & looked after us all really well on the Friday & Saturday, even to the extent of providing free food - as they did last year I recall. Major thanks to Merek'n'Dary and all their hard-working Elves for another Fine Banbury Festival, keep up the good work! BTW, I managed to mislay a denim shirt (pale denim with an off-white corduroy collar, designer label on the inside) at Saturdays late night sing at Hanwell. Colin didn't find it on clear-up so we figured someone might have picked it up to pass on to me, anyone any ideas? |

I'm just so sorry to have heard today that the Town and Country club (which has been such a very welcoming venue for the Banbury Mudgather) was burgled last night. Kitty |

As far as possible we will be contacting those people who have bought them to inform them of this. If you have not heard from us, or your tickets have been held up in the post, please come to the Box Office and they will let you have your tickets if they are holding them or re-issue them if necessary. Directions to the campsite are available from the "Information" page. That's Merek'n'Dary crossing the T's & dotting the I's for us (aren't they just lovely) hope they remember the tin of Choccies for the MudGather *grin* MudGather (Saturday 13th) reminders: All Welcome - not just MudCatters! 3.15 (ish - the Big Sing runs away with itself) till 6.30 for Stalwarts - do drop in sometime! Place: Town & Country Club - at the Wetherspoons end of town (on the way to the White Lady which is well worth a look) & marked on map on website & program. Has access button on main door - you're welcome to press it. Otherwise go around the back to the car park, the door will probably be open for Smokers. Smokers: please keep an eye out for wind direction so the smoke doesn't all come into the Gather - Thanks!! Please bring Chocolate (Just checked the fridge and all seems to be well!!!!) & Raffle prizes (even white elephants) if possible! MudRaffle - draw at about 5.30, leave your ticket with a trusted friend (??) if you can't be there at the draw. Please let me know if you have to be somewhere else so I can divert the MadCat to you - and remind me if it looks like I've forgotten - my memory or lack of it is world famous *sigh* As most of you will know this is a programmed event, but is non-ticketed. As with all Festivals the fringe is extremely important, but please do support the Festival proper (ie. buy a ticket) if you can!!
