Subject: Lyr Add: ABSENT FRIENDS From: MMario Date: 12 Sep 07 - 04:57 PM found at:www.loyalistlyrics.co.uk/html/LLA.html The time has come to say goodnight, for every road must end, to the ones who care and thier always there, our very special friends, Lets say goodnight to those we love, and maybe shed a tear, but before we close lets think of those, we love who cant be here. Let's raise a glass to absent friends, For every road must end, You'll always be there in our hearts, Our special absent friends. And when it's time for us to go, And our long journey ends, We'll never be alone you see, We'll be with absent friends. So, Let's raise a glass to absent friends, For every road must end, You'll always be there in our hearts, Our special absent friends. So, Let's raise a glass to absent friends, For every road must end, You'll always be there in our hearts, Our special absent friends. So, Let's raise a glass to absent friends, For every road must end, You'll always be there in our hearts, Our special absent friends. Our special absent friends. Our special absent friends. |

Subject: RE: Req/ADD: Special Absent Friends From: Joe Offer Date: 12 Sep 07 - 06:53 PM Kat and Jeri probably cross-posted with MMario. Kat and Jeri linked to a very nice song called "Absent Friends," by Keith Hancock. I think the song requested in this thread is actually called "Special Absent Friends," recorded by Daniel O'Donnell. I added "Special" to the thread title becasue it's pretty obvious that's the song we're seeking. It's interesting that MMario found the lyrics on a loyalist lyrics Website, but there you have it. I'd like to see a more definitive transcription of the lyrics, complete with proper spelling - although generally the use of the word "special" is a sure indication that it's a song that I probably won't really like. I'd also like to see definitive songwriter information. -Joe- |
