When I lived in Israel, I heard the lovliest tune. It has haunted me for years. I would like to perform it but I don't know the words. It was called "Etz Tapuach" which means "The Apple Tree". This one is so obscure, even Dick doesn't know it. Can anyone help me on this song. Thanks.

No luck at either one, or by Googling Hebrew sites.
Do you have a recording of the song? An alternate transliteration of the title? "Etz Tapuach" seems right - see this page (click) for more than you'll ever want to know about the word "tapuach."

Joe, thanks for the effort. I play the song often but I haven't found anyone who knows the words. It was a popular song, in Israel, in the early 70's. Perhaps, if there are any Israeli Mudcatters, they will remember it.

Contact my friend Murray Gewirtz. He has an extensive collection of Israeli songs from the 1970s. His wife, Chanah, is Israeli. They are both very much into this music.
