Only a couple of weeks to go until the 2nd Harwich Shanty Festival.Last years festival was BRILL! this years will be even better with more artists and more venues. This is a free festival except for the Fri/Sat evening concerts which are a mere fiver each. There will be sing-a-rounds in a couple of pubs,singing on The Thames sailing Barge VICTOR,The Redoubt circular fort built in 1808 and now fully restored,and various other venues around historic Harwich. Artists appearing so far:Shantymen Buitenboorg from Holland,Shantymen Stork Ejlaender from Denmark,Graeme Knights,Capstan Full Strength,Naze Shanty Crew,Magwhich,Hunt the Wren,Malcolm Ward,Pete Stockwell,Charlotte & Spong,Shantymen XXL,Golden Rivets.
