Flossie Malavialle will be gracing the stage at the Woodlark folk club, Lambley, Nottingham on Monday October 1st and if you are in the area at that time, you would be a fool to miss it!!!!
Support is being provided by two excellent young local men, Andy Whittle and Ted Mills.

Flossie is fantabulous, go and see her.

For those who don't know she's a singer from Provence, now based in Darlington (yes really). She does English and American material but also Edith Piaf and other chansonniere type songs. Also does a very good combined French/North East accent!   

She was support for Swarb's Lazarus at the Red Lion in Birmingham fairly recently and wowed quite a few people including Swarb's transplant team.

She is also very entertaining and funny, and tickets are now sold out at the Beehive Folk Club on the following Friday, which is testament to how good she is.

This is a really excellent club (have they covered up that secret dungeon again yet, girls?) run by two of the very nicest people in the business.

And as for Flossie... well, if you haven't heard her yet then - tien, combien dans la monde 'ave vous etait, innit cherie? (For those of you not blessed with a native grip on Channel Island French that translates as; 'blimey, int she got a fine set of pipes on er, or wot, eh?)'

Flossie is the real deal. A fantastic singer who will have you crying with laughter as well as crying with, well, err.. crying. If you're within two hours of the Woodlark, please make the effort. You'll be glad you did - I promise!

You say the nicest things. Yes, they have covered up the secret dungeon but it is a story well told frequently by joules!
The room now has a new carpet and new lights, we had lots of fun playing with them at the last singers night.

Worth going just to see Andy Whittle. IMHO a fine, emerging young singer/songwriter. Hopefully he'll have some of his albums with him - especially his second one.

Tom, sorry I missed you at Gainsborough FC t'other week - you probably heard I was languishing in the 'ozzie. Sooz tells me you had a great night.

The Woodlark's a little gem of a club, fantastic cellar-type venue and a great audience, and Flossie's a real gem of a performer. Be there (and prepared to be blown away!) or be a plonker.
