Seeing the thread for Tenterden made me think there should be one for Ingleton since it's the same weekend, and like Tenterden, Ingleton is a lovely village, but this time in the Yorkshire Dales, so far enough away not to clash.
Friday night Jez Lowe and the Bad Pennies, Saturday night Bernard Wrigley and Devil's Interval, at other times Duncan McFarlane, Keepers Fold, Wendy Arrowsmith, Chris Milner, Peter Taylor, Three Score and Ten.

Cheers -Duncan!

Ingleton in the Yorkshire Dales, Ingleton, Carnforth, North Yorkshire, just off the A65, past Settle and Clapham. No other is acceptable.

I keep missing the weekends that are run in the Dales, they don't seem well publicised. I've just signed up to go on the emailing list which should help for future bashes.

JJ

Accommodation booked. I've not been in this locale before so am looking forward to doing some exploring as well as hearing some rattling good folk rock!

Great start to the weekend with Jez and the Bad Pennies last night. Now off to find my way around this lovely place, hopefully without encountering too many steep hills cos my knees won't stand it!.

Oh, and driving through last night it was great to see so many people (most local I suspect) having a grand time at the open air ceilidh.

Yeah...excellent weekend spent all afternoon singing & playing in the sun on Saturday with Keepers Fold, The Doc, the wife (starting to sound like a soap opera cast!)and some other great folks. Saturday evening listening to Duncan McFarlane Band who were pretty fine in an extremely folky rocky way and Sunday afternoon pickin' on a couple of songs and singing along to the others during Mrs Banjiman's set outside The Falls cafe....really enjoyed the other acts there as well especially Chris Milner's set.

Caught up with a lot of old friends and made some new ones.

Just sorry I missed the Young un's again!!!! Caught the start of Wildwood....Bill is a GREAT Banjoist but had to leave after 3 songs to rescue Mother from the kids back at home.........

I saw the Young'Uns on Sunday and thought they were the best I've seen in a long time! They are absolutely superb!! Well-worth the trip. The MC got it spot on calling them the "best three-part group" on the scene at the moment! Did anyone else think that?

Tom
