I was good yesterday and did not peek at the Mudcat all day. Today Sandra in Sydney tipped me off about this first word from the giant elf. Good 'ol Sandra. SO, Santa HELLO! I do like tea, we have tea in our office and chat in the afternoons -- I have a good boss, that way--. Scents I don't do so well with, some bother my tummy. I do like and use an assortment of citrus-y scents though. My favorite is orange-blossom. So, Santa please write again! What sort of treat should I leave for you and the crew at my building's front desk? (you have to be buzzed in to access any chimneys). Please note that they have a rubber mat so you all can wipe your 34 (38?) assorted feet. Mind the terrazzo, it's slippery for snowy hooves. Sudden chilling thought...Oh, dear. From: Megan L Date: 20 Nov 07 - 05:39 PM Dear Santa well according to the lass in the resturant there was a rogue elf seen getting drunk in Bejing when he was arrested he asked them if they had seen his friend Jack. after much searching the police officer was able to tell him the troublemaker was causing earthquakes in Iceland. I knew Skarpi should never have let Jack and the trolls get a boom box and brenavin. Anyway said elf has now been released from police custody and escorted to the airport with a gentle advice on not returning to Bejing in the near future and definately never to bring Jack with him. Last seen boarding plane to Iceland clutching two number 26 a number 59 and a side order of 102. so the reindeers should be able to intercept him before he reaches the party. Yours truthfully Meg |

Health and Safety do tend to have a dampening effect on all sort of revelries, these days, don't they? I mean, what's the harm in letting a few harmless elves have some fun with a hot glue gun..? Authorities, indeed!! Your instructions regarding the whens, wheres and whys have been duly noted and taken ad notam. Things shall be carried out according to your instructions, oh esteemed BOSS, and to the letter. There's a dog leaning heavily on me here, tail wagging, ears pricked - insofar as dacshhund ears can at all be pricked - and tongue lolling. He wants to know if he may consider himeself "a person" in this respect? Or do only two-leggers qualify for that description by your standards? He would like to make it clear that he has all of 12 years of practice and experience in opening his own christmas presents, so opening one would pose no problem whatsoever..
