Jim, May I go on your reserve list? I think you have my email, if not let me know if they become available via Facebook Messenger.

Hi Jim,

Sent email earlier tonight but don't know if I did it right or not.
Did you receive it?
It didn't come back yet with an unable to deliver message so maybe you did receive it. I sent it as a test type message to see
if you receive it first before I send my physical address.

Thank you,
Lin

Hi Jim,

That would be wonderful and so kind of you.
Is there a way to send you a private message here with my address?

I wasn't sure how to do that and not too much of a tech. person.
Thank you in advance.
Lin

Hello Lin- they're not that heavy - 350 grams, so could post them to you if you wish- not sure when that would be due to Covid restrictions in Scotland, but I won't burn them just yet anyway...    cheers Jim

Jim, if no one locally wants them, I'm sure plenty of local libraries/folk music societies would be interested.

Dave- my language was a little careless- I meant no disrespect to the man but I have no use for these 'newspapers'- maybe somebody else has?

Karl Dallas spent his last years in Bradford, he was very welcomed and a popular contributor to the local folk music scene.

RIP Karl.

Penguin Egg.
Wait until the Post Office is over it's latest bout of constipation, and speak nicely to Diane and see if she will share.
All sorts. One reports Sandy Denny's death, there's a report on the Sidmouth Silver Jubilee (I was there!), bands splitting up, bands re-forming, gig lists, etc etc.

Irene;
Thanks for the offer - not desperate for them but would quite like to fill in gaps in our collection.
Diane'
Thanks also, will be in touch.
Jim Carroll
PS Does that mean I have to buy the Cap'n a pint (joking of course; would be happy to).

Jim Carroll

I've lost track of contacts for you but you can find me at countessrichard@yahoo.co.uk.
If Irene would like to post them to me, I have a print shop close by that could copy them. Or just give me a few days to read them and then I'd send them on.

Jim,
Talk to Diane Easby please, as she is interested too.
I don't want any money for the mags. You could always buy Mudcat a pint in lieu, though.

If you are interested in making a few bob then I would put them up on ebay. You may be surprised. Then again you may not not!

If there are no other takers I would very much appreciate them to add to our collection.
Happily pay costs, buy you a pint and/or return the favour
Jim Carroll

Karl Dallas was based in London, but the papers covered the British Isles.

I think I have these all myself, otherwise I go for them like a shot. Strongly recommended, if only for the hairstyles that people might prefer to forget they ever wore. And some fine examples of those LP cover pictures of people posing under a tree, or by a rock. Or sometimes, for variety, by a rock under a tree.

I have been having a turn out, and came across some 1977 to 81 copies of the Folk News and Acoustic Music papers that Karl Dallas used to edit/ produce. There are 13 Folk News and 5 Acoustic Music.
I was going to recycle them, then thought I had better offer them here, as someone might like them.
