The hard work he put into putting on some find acts, both well known as not so well known, has been appreciated by many. Sympathy to his family and friend, but as well as mouning the loss, let us rejoice for a life well lived!! He will be sorely missed. |

Subject: RE: Obit: David Davidson; Attic Folk club From: danensis Date: 10 Oct 07 - 08:13 AM I took would like to say a belated "thank you" to David for the work he put in organising the Attic Folk Club. Its only for the last couple of years that we've attended regulalry (it was always so difficult to get hold of tickets). David was looking at bit frail at the Coope, Boyes and Simpson concert last month, evidently he'd driven his car into a tree, which had rather upset him. Its going to be a strange atmosphere at the Marie Little concert this Friday without him. |
Subject: RE: Obit: David Davidson; Attic Folk club From: GUEST,Nonny Mouse Date: 10 Oct 07 - 04:11 PM Yours was a life well spent Dave, thanks for all you've done for me, Chesterfield, and folk music in general. You're going to leave a much bigger gap than the space you occupied. |

Subject: RE: Obit: David Davidson; Attic Folk club From: GUEST,AtticHelper Date: 12 Oct 07 - 08:56 AM Dave is already missed. I will be there on the door tonight because he would have wanted it so but the place will never be the same again. I called him the ageless leprechaun since he seemed to have always been there. Sadly no more. Irreplaceable. PaulB |
