hi i am looking for the lyrics to "henry grey's whiskey"
also kown as "jenny grey's whiskey" it is titled that way in the
"andy m stewart collection" songbook. can anyone help...
i would also love to get a copy of the andy m stewart songbook.
if anyone knows where i could pick up a copy.

"Jenny Gray's Whiskey" is what it's titled in his songbook if the site was right.

-- I once tried to look up and see what gin might have been the "royal blue," but I ended up reading someplace that, customarily, gin labels were dark blue. I can't find any reference to that now, though, and it was off the 'net so take it with a grain of salt.

You have almost exactly what I hear, apart from the first line of the chorus, which I have always taken to be:

O-oh Jean she keeps the royal blue.

No gin, but also no idea what the Royal Blue might be.

I had that bit pinned down as 'the royal brew'. Ah well that's tradition for you.
