Bob,
Thanks for everything you have done in making this session so much fun. I know that you put a lot of planning and effort into making it look and feel like a spontaneous session. What wonderful memories and great friends made from these sessions. Glad to hear they will be going on in Folk Week. See you in Rochester if not before!
Jen

This message today 15/1/10

No Woodshed tonight, I'm afraid - No, it's not the weather!

The WOODSHED will continue during folk week, it is anticipated, but not out of season, due to a change of musical policy- Fridays and Saturdays being needed to maximise income in these difficult times for businesses.

So thanks to all who attended woodsheds over the past three years- 173 of us by ny count- and made so many evenings to remember- always different and what a pity we haven't any recordings because when the pub bounced they were great nights! Thanks to all the guest musicians, who all encouraged and drove the sound for the rest of us.

There is an offer of Weekday nights- your views appreciated... but without guests, more of a session..

There will be a Mixer/ Bob Kenward & Steve Moreham concert Session in the Good Intent, Rochester, on Tuesday 9th Feb...

Big thanks again-

Bobxx

and on the 11th of September, we have a woodshed as per usual, except that our superb and music-friendly Jen is going to be leaving the Wrotham shortly afterwards.... she's been brilliant for local music and has made the pub a prime venue , so it would be good to wish her well with a special woodshed to remember... all welcome ffrom wherever!

The Grabhams and melodeons too... who knows, a fiddle...

if you bring something to play you'll be playing all evening...
when you're not knocking back some finely kept Shep...

See you at 8.30 on...

Well, all being Ok should be at the Woodshed this Friday-- sorry to have missed the last one, just seized up like a rusty monkey-spanner... but we've got the amazing Steve and the fleetfingered Krista this Friday from 8.30 onwards, not to mention the delectable Jen on mighty mandolin... should be a real goodie...

no objections!

we take it in turns for people to lead a song/tune, so feel free to bring some tunes that others can join in with, or follow the lead. synbyn does a good job of mixing it up and making sure everyone (who wants to) gets a chance to lead.

look forward to seeing you there marzipan

the next wrotham arms woodshed is on friday 20 february. as always, it is run by the wonderful bob kenward (don't tell him I said that). our special guests for this shed are foolproof - cliff bayliss and sue hudson.

we welcome musicians and singers to participate, or just come along to hear great music and drink great beer! our emphasis is on participation, so please bring songs/tunes that others can sing/play together. all talent levels are included (that allows me to play too).

hope to see you there!
