I tried to burn my banjo at the Pigs Ear weekend but Dave grabbed it off me and repaired it... I refer you to the Garter family, singing on the Skynflynt CD as a bonus track; "If My G-String's Tight, I'm All Right"...

Is this the same "Nellies" that used to be in the Queens Arms at Cowden? I remember going there in the late seventies when I lived in South London. Very crowded and worked on an "in the round" basis when they had guests. Club dates were handed round on a grubby piece of paper marked "Nights in the Swamp". Plates of rock cakes at half time. Ah the memories. Time for my medication nurse......

Definitely remember scone type things with currants in but maybe the fare changed from month to month. It was a long time ago though. I only remember it in black and white.

I understand Elsie has a new recipe for her Sausage Rolls.I remember these well, how could you forget them. Many a good filling has been lost on her Sausage Rolls.I wondered if she made up a batch to last the year, but I was informed that she bakes them specialy for the evening.
One of these days I will also try and get to Tonbridge with my Anglo and knock out a few tunes,
Al

A SINaround???!! Now that does sound interesting! Is this part of the movement to make folk music more appealing to younger people? I'll certainly sign up for it! (Tee-hee!)

I remember Elsie's Sausage Rock Roll Cakes.
I often wondered if she made a years supply in one hit and just bought them out at the sessions.
Dear Old Elsie the Pub will never be the same without her.
I will bring my concertina down to Nellie's one day synbin
Al
