Subject: RE: Pink Song Circle at SINSULL's 11/10 From: SINSULL Date: 11 Nov 07 - 03:33 PM The entire concept was vile. No more color related parties. Now if we could only cure Jacqui of her Ugly Cake Syndrome. |

Subject: RE: Pink Song Circle at SINSULL's 11/10 From: katlaughing Date: 11 Nov 07 - 02:21 PM The Diaphanous was perfect on Alba...quite beautiful, Tink. Great choice! I think they all need a lesson on how NOT to have colour clashes, though. Some of those combos were dreadfull, but I guess that IS the desired result, right?**bg** The dogs didn't seem to mind and were also beautiful, esp. the one with the flaggy tail, wow-bow! |
Subject: RE: Pink Song Circle at SINSULL's 11/10 From: Jeri Date: 11 Nov 07 - 02:11 PM She put pink cotton candy in the mouse. It looked just like fiberglass insulation. As for Our Lady Of The Pepsi Bottle appeared. I understand that a selection of miniature wheel chairs, crutches, and canes is to follow." No comment. Just noticing. My bed was yelling at me across the miles, so I didn't sleep over. Lacked sleep from the previous night and I slept really well when I got home. I miss breakfasts there, but sleeping is good. Wonder what happened to the quinoa. It would have worked as ravioli stuffing or somewhere else where nobody could see it. Thanks Mary, for a mostly insane and inarguably ugly party. |
Subject: RE: Pink Song Circle at SINSULL's 11/10 From: Tinker Date: 11 Nov 07 - 01:54 PM SINS, I wish I had a camera when Micca came down from the third floor to show Jarius and I his ensemble .... it was Midnight and Jarius is still shaking his head. Now the Fire Godess (half price) number I somehoe came home with is still in the bedroom... Sounds like it was wonderful .... I may have a few homesick penguins heading north to join you... tink |
Subject: RE: Pink Song Circle at SINSULL's 11/10 From: GUEST,SINS,a GUEST on her own computer.... Date: 11 Nov 07 - 11:33 AM Well, yesterday started with a reprise of my first Getaway with Micca appearing in the "almost" altogether for Jude and me. Too much for this maiden lady so early in the AM. Pink is a vile color and there is/was a lot of it. Jacqui is in big trouble for both taking and posting those pictures. Lots of phone calls - Katlaughing, Bente, Severn, Leadfingers, that I know of. I was just too involved to chat much but thank you all joining in the fun. Holly's home made apple pie disappeared very quickly - very very nice. A beautiful fruit tart, miniature pastries were sampled but the pie was very very good. Jacqui's cake didn't. Deborah took it home to a houseful of non-discriminating teenagers. Lots of comfort food - Shepherd's Pie made with freshly killed shepherds, chili, antipasto, etc. Lots of music. Lots of stories. Kendall challenged Jeri to play his 12-string and was shocked to see she could. Ashoken Fairwell on guitar, fiddle and concertina. Holly spent the evening weaving German stars of pink and white which she then left for each guest. So beautiful. Micca sang and joked and laughed. he is as huggable as Kendall. So good to have him back. Jude is soaking up the ambiance and occasionally slipping into Gaelic. I have learned to nod a lot. heh heh She makes Jacqui and me look absolutely normal. Headless Jesus has gone to live on a farm but a herd of penguins is infiltrating the places where tiny nuns used to roam. I have to find some new friends. AND...Our Lady Of The Pepsi Bottle appeared. I understand that a selection of miniature wheel chairs, crutches, and canes is to follow. I REALLY have to find some new friends. Thank you all for making the PINK party a success. Seamus. Asha and Bandit had a lovely time. Nice to have such eager vacuum cleaners. Now to send them all home so I can get some sleep. Oh I almost forgot - Carly! I love the mouse. It is going to work with me tomorrow. All that glitters...Thank you! SINS |
Subject: RE: Pink Song Circle at SINSULL's 11/10 From: maeve Date: 11 Nov 07 - 11:13 AM It was a delightful evening, of course. The energy level was a wee bit frightening to those of us who live a quiet life, the welcome was warm, and there was an abundance of very pink clothing. I was greeted at the door by a moving, glowing, flamingo and Jacqui (also moving and glowing), who had made me a wee lap afghan from the remains of her latest Mudcat afghan, and by Sinsull, Jeri, Alba, Micca, and Kendall who offered hugs (happily accepted.) TruBrit and her True Love were there looking elegant and bearing delicious Shepherd's Pie. Curmudgeon and Bat Goddess made gorgeous music and enlighted me regarding the origin of the aforementioned statue-in-two-parts-now waiting-in-my-car. I was pleased to meet ranger1's friend and neighbor Kathy- what a lovely lady! The cats and all three dogs behaved well- as long as one kept a sharp eye out for doggy tongues on plates! I hope MaineDog can make dog-sitting arrangements for his pooch so he can join us another time. Lots of singing, lots of silliness, and a range of good food all contributed to the party atmosphere. There was a Very Pink Cake. I was treated to a private solo from ranger 1 which I enjoyed very much! Giok, Sinsull would probably love to have you call her today...She just loves to hear the telephone ringing. Everyone there should be "in the pink" after a very late night. They might even be up and making breakfast by now. Maybe. I think I'll leave now. maeve |

Last I knew, however Giok and his sheep were still in there. Somebody go check on them, unless there's a Do Not Disturb sign on the door and a refill order for single Malt and coffee. Subject: RE: Pink Song Circle at SINSULL's 11/10 From: MaineDog Date: 10 Nov 07 - 10:28 AM I think I had better bow-wow out, due to the potential cat problem -- he loves them fried, spitted, roasted, but best of all raw! He is not sufficiently civilized for such a crowd yet. Another time, when travel schedules are simpler! Jim |
Subject: RE: Pink Song Circle at SINSULL's 11/10 From: jacqui.c Date: 10 Nov 07 - 09:35 AM A good time was had by all at the Press Room last night. Micca was in good voice and regaled the assembly with some good stuff. Alba got talking to a fellow Scot who turned up in a kilt and did a couple of good numbers. She also made contact with a lot of old friends there. We got back to Maine about 10.30 last night. Having dropped Micca and Alba at Mary's I got home to find the Cap'n waiting up (not with rolling pin in hand, fortunately). Today we're off to look for craft fairs and yard sales before getting ready for the pink evening. |

Unless of course Kendall joins us with his jacket. I understand the gentlemen couldn't keep their hands off of him either. One glaring scowl from the Captain and Severn will quiet down. Giok is another story altogether. But I have some single malt on hand...and a cup of coffee. |
Subject: RE: Pink Pong Circle at SINSULL's 11/10 From: Severn Date: 09 Nov 07 - 09:47 AM A crawl space, eh? That way it will remain a Cellar's Market and certain real estate people will continue to prosper. Just don't mention the crawl space and people will still buy. If there are any strange noises, the stories of the place being haunted should help it move. So, Let The Cellar Beware! WHERE? In the basement, of course! But a crawlspace can be ANYWHERE, by rights of secret passage! So who knows when or where we'll next emerge! BE AFRAID!....... |
