Subject: Gigs in Kent (or anywhere on the way)? From: Banjiman Date: 11 Nov 07 - 05:17 AM We (well mainly Mrs Banjiman- Wendy Arrowsmith, I'll just plonk along on the banjo and warble occasionally) have just been booked for a gig at the Wrotham Arms in Broadstairs on Saturday April 5th 2008 (Thanks Jen). We were wondering if there are any other opportunities for gigs anywhere in the Southeast (or really anywhere between North Yorkshire & Kent) around that date that we could take in on the same trip. You can check out the sound we make and the bookings we have at Wendy Arrowsmith: MySpace & Wendy Arrowsmith Website , and if you must: Paul. If we are doing folk clubs, the emphasis is very much on Wendy's music. There are contact details on these sites or feel free to PM me...or just let me know who might be worth trying. We will consider pretty much anything........ Thanks Paul |
Subject: RE: Gigs in Kent? From: Richard Bridge Date: 11 Nov 07 - 05:55 AM You need to petition Doug Hudson if you want real proper grown up gigs. He is the capo di tutti capi in the Medway Towns and has big influence further afield too. |

Subject: RE: Gigs in Kent? From: Arnie Date: 14 Nov 07 - 10:04 AM Paul, I've let Wendy know that I'll be having a word in Avril's ear at the Deal Folk Club this Friday night. I really like the sample I heard on myspace but will have to see what Avril says - she's got the money and the diary!! I know Wendy has left a message on Avril's phone, so you may already have had a reply - hope it's a yes! Adrian B |
