Can't seem to find anything on this one. Do you have any parts of the lyrics?

I looked at a number of sources and couldn't find it, either. I think nostalgic songs like this are an area of music that is largely unexplored, and I wonder if that will result in the loss of some really interesting stuff.
In my Google search, I found the phrase "send an angel for mother" in two documents - so I think the phrase must be part of our culture somehow - there's a song there somewhere, and I think the writers of those two documents must have heard it.
My search for the phrase came up with one classic example of a nostalgic poem - but even though we may think it laughable, is it something we should preserve? I dunno. I certainly enjoyed reading it, in spite of myself.

Here's the poem I found:

With The Bottle, Satan Walks In
by Janet Owenby
copyright 09-27-2003

Age Rating: 13 to 127
I can see the hell in his eyes,
that will bring my family's cries.
This home isn't happy anymore,
when Satan stumbles through the door.
Daddy has been drinking again,
with his bottle, Satan walks in.

Across my mother's tender skin,
she carries bruises once again.
Mother cleanses her swollen eyes,
to hide the bitter tears she cries.
With his bottle, Satan appears,
to collect his family's tears.

I fall upon my knees to pray,
"God please make her pain go away.
Please, send another cleansing flood,
to wash the liquor from his blood.
This cannot be the life you planned,
take the bottle from Satan's hand."

"Send an angel for mother too,
and heal her eyes of black and blue.
Help her lord, make it through this night,
and stop this drunkard's wicked plight.
Take the evil glaze from daddy's eyes,
and stop my family's painful cries."

"God, I know daddy's a good man,
without that bottle in his hand.
God , take away daddy's desire,
for old Lucifer's liquid fire.
Take away daddy's bottled sin,
and make my daddy good again."

This Poem was written to show the effects that a legal drug you can buy at your local grocery store has on people and their families.
