lookin for lyrics/chords for the song "no more good times". I've heard it done by the Barra McNeils, and just realized it was a Tommy Makem song.

Anybody got 'em?

thanks

Musicman

Just checked the Tommy Makem Lyrics section of his web-site. It doesn't show a song of that name.

According to another site, it's a 40 year old song of Tommy Makem's. - There is a Youtube video of Barra MacNeils singing that song.

Well, here's a start:
There'll be no more good times, now that you're leaving
Nothing but sorrow at my door.
All I see is rain through my dusty window pane
I'll never find the good times anymore, anymore.
No I'll never find the good times anymore.
Your turn, Paul.
By the way, it's good to see you back.

NO MORE GOOD TIMES
(Tommy Makem)

CHORUS: There'll be no more good times, now that you're leavin',
Nothin' but sorrow at my door.
All I see is rain through my dusty windowpane,
And I'll never find the good times anymore, anymore.
No, I'll never find the good times anymore.

1. Once I walked a rainbow with the moon on a string.
I heard the ocean laughin' and I heard the mountain sing.
I saw a ship go sailing on a voyage to the sun,
But that was in the good times and the good times are all done.

2. I filled my hand with starlight and I gave it to the sea.
I caught a peal of thunder and I made it smile for me.
I drifted on an autumn leaf of boldon rivers run,
But that was in the good times and the good times are all done.

3. The rainbow that I walked upon has vanished from the sky.
The boldon river's muddy, and the moonbeam's passed me by.
The ship that I saw sailing, it will never reach the sun,
For that was in the good times and the good times are all done.

Hi, Shakka-
It's not as clear as I'd like, but I hear I drifted on an autumn leaf where golden of boldon rivers run on the Foster & Allen recording.

I agree with Joe's correction.

Also, "boldon" should be "golden" in verse 3 line 2.

Also, every verse should end with "gone," not "done."

This is based on the Foster & Allen recording.
