Subject: Anglo concertina history From: Desert Dancer Date: 15 Nov 07 - 04:19 PM [Yes, in case somebody's watching, it's pretty quiet at work lately!!] Concertina.com, the online library of documentation on everything about concertinas has a couple of articles that detail the history of the anglo concertina in the United States and Ireland. (This info thanks to a tip from Musical Traditions.) Though the author, Dan Worrall, calls the U.S. article a "Brief History of...", it's quite lengthy, and there's an amazing amount of detail there, including quotes from newspapers, advertising, examples of pictures, etc. ~ Becky in Tucson |
