Subject: RE: BS: California- Next Axis of Evil Entry??? From: Bobert Date: 17 Nov 07 - 08:36 PM Okay, back atcha, LH... Problem is that when you plug up the drain you also keep the rotten folks who have created the problems in the 1st place... What we need is some kinda greese trap drain that catches the good 'uns and lets the bad 'un's go down the drain... And yes, Ive put the Wes Ginny Slide Rule on this one... |
Subject: RE: BS: California- Next Axis of Evil Entry??? From: Little Hawk Date: 17 Nov 07 - 08:11 PM Okay. What I was thinking, see, was this...if we could find out precisely where the drain is, then we could build a great big plug and stop it up. Great idea, isn't it? One simple way to save America! |
Subject: RE: BS: California- Next Axis of Evil Entry??? From: Bobert Date: 17 Nov 07 - 07:34 PM Ahhhhhh, the drain moves while we sleep, LH... Might of fact, only the drain knows where it is at any given time... Now, can I prove that??? Well, no, but that's the word on the streets, ahhhh, gravel roads.... |
Subject: RE: BS: California- Next Axis of Evil Entry??? From: Little Hawk Date: 17 Nov 07 - 07:25 PM Where IS the drain exactly? |
Subject: RE: BS: California- Next Axis of Evil Entry??? From: Bobert Date: 17 Nov 07 - 06:58 PM Heck, Bill... We got a fault line that runs down the east coast, too... Could all go the other way and folks livin' in Loundoun County, Va. could one day be livin' on the Pacific coast???... As fir jumpin' ship, John, please don't go... We love$ all you west coa$ter$... That one thing that Ca and NY have in common... Take either one of them away an' the rest of the country goes down the drain.... |
Subject: RE: BS: California- Next Axis of Evil Entry??? From: Bill D Date: 17 Nov 07 - 05:52 PM If everything east of the San Andreas falls off, that's gonna be one mighty thin little state/island. Sort of an atoll with a few hills and Los Angeles....ughhhh |
Subject: RE: BS: California- Next Axis of Evil Entry??? From: John on the Sunset Coast Date: 17 Nov 07 - 04:40 PM I think Ahnold should declare us the Unilateral State of Cahlifornia, and secede us from the Union. California has, reportedly, the world's sixth largest economy. Without us the US might really become a Third World nation as some opined at Mudcat last week. At any rate, I'm tired of us supporting the rest of you. |
Subject: RE: BS: California- Next Axis of Evil Entry??? From: Bobert Date: 17 Nov 07 - 12:41 PM "Streets", T??? We ain't got 'um here in this holler... Wierd gravel roads, maybe, but no streets... Yo, Amos... Ahhhh, so you think that we're gonna plunge into the Atlantic, heh??? Would that give California two coasts??? Nevermind, the Wes Ginny Slide Rule just figured it out... Hey, that would be cool, wouldn't it??? I mean if the surf ain't up on the Pacific coast all you'd have to so is strap yer Shark to the roof of yer woody an' drive 45 minutes or so cross the country to the Atlantic!!! Cowabunga!!! One thing is fir sure, if that happenes, the Repubs will have won their last election, even without the northeast... Might be worth it... B~ |
Subject: RE: BS: California- Next Axis of Evil Entry??? From: Amos Date: 17 Nov 07 - 12:18 PM As a Californicator, I resemble these remarks. If Washington tries to make California a member of the Axis of Evil, they shall face the mother of all denial-of-service attacks. If they persist, we will unleash our biggest secret weapon against them -- Steve Jobs. You don' wanna mess wid Californiay, buddy....don't forget that one of these days, the San Andreas fault will give way and everything east of it, including the District of Columbia, will fall into the Atlantic Ocean. Subject: RE: BS: California- Next Axis of Evil Entry??? From: Little Hawk Date: 17 Nov 07 - 09:40 AM "Word on the street" as Bobert used it is an expression....used merely for rhetorical effect...such as "that dog won't hunt". It creates a certain ironic mood. We all have our favorite expressions along that line, and those are two of Bobert's favorites. |
Subject: RE: BS: California- Next Axis of Evil Entry??? From: gnu Date: 17 Nov 07 - 07:05 AM "... 3,000 Patriot missiles raining down on Baghdad every day." Huh? |
Subject: RE: BS: California- Next Axis of Evil Entry??? From: Teribus Date: 17 Nov 07 - 04:25 AM "Word on the street" Eh Bobert? You mean just like the 3,000 Patriot missiles raining down on Baghdad every day. Or like the "Heads on sticks". You must live in a really dodgy neighbourhood, or at least one with some really weird streets. |
Subject: RE: BS: California- Next Axis of Evil Entry??? From: Jim Krause Date: 17 Nov 07 - 12:53 AM WMD? Shoot, I thought that was a euphamism for a banjo, a Weapn of Musical Destruction. Jim |
Subject: RE: BS: California- Next Axis of Evil Entry??? From: Little Hawk Date: 17 Nov 07 - 12:33 AM Ha! I know what Arnold would say. "You want to dance with me, George Bush? Bring it on." (In heavy Austrian accent...) The Terminator knows how to deal with people like Bush and Cheney, not to mention their hordes of uniformed 'minions'. Boy, it would make a great action movie. ;-) |
Subject: RE: BS: California- Next Axis of Evil Entry??? From: Don Firth Date: 16 Nov 07 - 10:36 PM I hear tell that Washington and Oregon are following suit with their environmental policies. As Bobert has noted, Hollywood has turned out a fair number of bombs! Don Firth |
Subject: RE: BS: California- Next Axis of Evil Entry??? From: Ythanside Date: 16 Nov 07 - 10:04 PM WMD? California? Naw, they have light years to go to catch up with Washington DC and the UK government. Er, we ARE talking about Words of Mass Deception, aren't we? |
Subject: BS: California- Next Axis of Evil Entry??? From: Bobert Date: 16 Nov 07 - 08:30 PM Well, seems that with North Korea knuckling under a vacnacy has been created in the Axis of Evil and word on the street is California is up for consideration... Yeah, Swartzeneggar has turned out to be monumental pain in Bush's side and now is poised to sue the Bush administration over his state's desire to roll back global warming carbon pollutants... Plus, the Terminator is amrried to a liberal Democrat.. Vegas has it 7-5 that California will get the nod as the new memeber of the AoE... So folks, whaddayathink... I'm kinda on the fence 'cause I don't know if California has any WMD's to speak of, other than Hollywood, of course... But I will say this, if they don't have any real WMD, I'd kinda just l;ike to see a Special Op's surgical attack on Swartenegger rethar than another full scale war... Plus, with as many tax bucks comin' outta California, if we invade and occupy it then we might not have the bucks to keep up with Bush's *other* wars... But I'll keep an open mind... B~ |
