NEWS ITEM ... MARTIN SIMPSON IS TO APPEAR ON BBC TV'S FLAGSHIP MUSIC PROGRAMME, 'LATER WITH JOOLS' ON FRIDAY 14TH DECEMBER 2007


His album 'Prodigal Son' has made such a huge impact this year that Martin has been asked to appear on BBC TV's most highly regarded music programme, 'Later With Jools' next month. He has been asked to perform a solo version of 'Duncan & Brady' for the final programme of the year and also to record a special performance of 'Never Any Good' for their hugely popular website. The programme is an ecelectic mixture of performers from current mainstream favourites to living legends - it's fantastic exposure for a great musician and for acoustic music.


For those out of reach of BBC2, the programme is usually available on the website for the following week.

Really great news that Martin's on Jools's show, just a pity that he'll probably only get one number, the man deserves more.

For maximum impact, Martin should do the song about his father, and a flashy guitar oriented piece ( "Broke Down Engine", for example). If he did those two, he would acquire a whole host of new fans.
