Subject: Song Titles with a single letter From: astro Date: 04 Dec 07 - 10:26 PM I was singing "T for Texas T for Tennessee, T for Thelma who put a spell on me..." When the question occurred to me, are there many songs with a single letter like this out there (other than the obvious titles with an a or I or the like). It's one of those things that hits you early in the morning, like two or three and you are somewhat crazed in the head and think of deep things, like who invented brillo pads... I was just informed that Jimmy Rodgers who sang this first and it was a real hit...recorded at the end of 1927 and came out in 1928. It was entitled "Blue yodel Number 1 (T for Texas)" but was recorded by many others under just T for Texas.... astro in Los Angeles, the City of Fallen Angels... |

Subject: RE: Song Titles with a single letter From: Desert Dancer Date: 05 Dec 07 - 10:39 AM This will force me to reveal that if you go to the Folk Music Index and browse alphabetically, you will find many entries at the beginning of each letter entry... the same is likely true for many other song indices.
