Subject: Watch out for Rosie Doonan From: Tig Date: 11 Dec 07 - 03:38 PM On Sunday evening we were taken to see Vin Garbutt (who was in excellent form) at The Red Shed, Wakefield (www.theredshed.org.uk), a great venue we'd never heard of or been to before. They seem to have some excellent guests there and I'm kicking myself I hadn't known to see others. Support for the night was Rosie Doonan - Mick Doonan's daughter. She did a 45 minute support spot consisting of some of her own songs and some of other peoples including the best version of Woodstock I've heard in a long time. Watch out for this young lady. I have a feeling she will be carrying on the family tradition of musical excellence. |
