On Sunday evening we were taken to see Vin Garbutt (who was in excellent form) at The Red Shed, Wakefield (www.theredshed.org.uk), a great venue we'd never heard of or been to before. They seem to have some excellent guests there and I'm kicking myself I hadn't known to see others.

Support for the night was Rosie Doonan - Mick Doonan's daughter. She did a 45 minute support spot consisting of some of her own songs and some of other peoples including the best version of Woodstock I've heard in a long time.

Watch out for this young lady. I have a feeling she will be carrying on the family tradition of musical excellence.

She did a brilliant album with Ben Murray (from Tara) called Mill Lane. Came out nearly 2 years ago. Talanted woman.

She did an excellent night solo at Doncaster in the Regent a week ago.
What a voice - and a great sense of humour.

But wouldn't you just have to have a great sense of humour, living in the Doonan household?

I do agree, she is superb and well worth the watching/listening

She has now released another CD called Moving On. People there who had bought it were saying how good it was.
