Um, Spaw, how did you miss posting to the Booty Blog [as you call that thread about US fannies]?

I like that name better than the name I gave that thread "The structure of fannies". A moderator added (US bottoms) to emphasize the point that we were talking about the US definition of "fanny" and not the UK definition of that word. Having different meanings for words and phrases is one of the joys/challenges of being an international forum.

I started that thread as a play on words on another Mudcat thread, "The Structure of Funny". The link for that thread is included in the fanny thread.

Though I started that thread, I kinda abandoned it cause it got a too raunchy for me. But, Spaw, I'm sure that you can help lift up the that thread's level of discourse.

My point in posting those geographical locations was/is that people who post on Mudcat come from throughout the world. And it's a wonder and a blessing that we can converse in almost real time like we do.

This winter reminds me of a winter in Howard Beach when there were no sidewalks and instead of street games we built snow forts in empty lots and had a battle - those forts lasted all winter.

Wow! What a surprise! Thank you, Wilfried, for starting a birthday thread for me. Thanks also to all you other guys and gals for your kind remarks and for your best wishes for my birthday.

If someone had told me 3 years ago before I joined Mudcat that I would be getting birthday greetings from folks who live in USA and folks who live in Australia, Canada, France, Iceland, New Zealand, or the United Kingdom, I would have told that person that he or she was crazy. But, thanks to Mudcat, that is indeed what has happened.

I'm grateful for the opportunities Mudcat provides to communicate with you all. Your best wishes warm my heart. And given the snowy weather outside, I need all the warmth I can get!
