The Pacific Northwest Folklore Society
has a web presence at pnwfolklore.org
and we're continuously putting new stuff up

Check out new additions to the Audio/Video page:
The Kettle Valley Line - by Ean Hay & Stan Triggs, sung by Jerry Middaugh
Songs Sung at the UN Pavilion, Seattle World's Fair, 1962
Wandering - sung by Walt Robertson (his theme song)
Performers at NW Folklife - May, 2007 (including Reggie Miles playing his musical saw)
New Hope Cafe (Westport, WA) by Matt Moeller (aka Chanteymatt)

And more....

"The Society is devoted to the understanding and development of the folklore of this area. Collection, study, preservation, publication, and performance are all aspects of the Society's activities. The people of the Pacific Northwest are heir to a rich heritage of legend, song, dance, and other forms of lore. This study greatly aids the understanding not only of ourselves, but of our forebears and the land from which they sprung."

Cheers, S. in Seattle

I changed the color scheme for the web site,
from black background with red text
to pale yellow background with dark green text.

Is that better?

(always tweaking, always changing, always adding, always learning)

Stewart, that's a fine piece of footage you captured of me sawing "Over The Rainbow." I also very much enjoyed seeing Bob Nelson's poster collection. My favs were of Sonny Terry and Brownie McGhee. I've been busy keeping my own personal holiday tradition alive by sawing seesawnal sawngs with my singing saw at Seattle's Pike Place Market, where I debuted playing the saw so many years ago. What fun to make so many smiles!

Sawwwwwwwwww ya later

I continue to be very impressed with the quality of the audios and videos posted on this site. This website is quickly becoming a resource for what's happenning now in this area, as well past events. Bob

Reggie, looking forward to see you sawing again.

Bob, just posted another two items of historical interest:
my recent Victory Review piece on Earl Robinson
and the review of your and Don's reunion concert.

Cheers, S. in Seattle
