Can anyone guide me in the direction of any clubs I can sing at cos I am in Devon regularly and would like to perform down here.

I've looked online for the clubs and yes, there are a few but some don't happen anymore.

Here's some:
Folk on the Moor
Tom and Barbara Brown's Shammick Acoustic Sessions
More (including Bideford) listed Here
Google for Totnes Folk Club too

I'm sure there's more to be Googled for.

You don't say what parts of Devon you visit - it's a big county.
Totnes Folk Club meets on the 2nd Thurday of the month, upstairs in the Dartmouth Inn (off The Plains, at 8.30.
For other events in the southern part of Devon, try these (which may or may not appear a Blickies, I've done my best):

There used to be a GREAT one in Sidmouth, called " The Forge " , but now it's just a car-park & a swimming pool !!

Thanks fo you help guys, I'm in Sourth Zeal, near Oakhampton at least once a month. I often contact Jason of Dartmoor folk fest and Dartmoor Pixie Band fame, and he updates me.

If anyone is in this area please get intouch. I'll PM my mobile number.

Hi there, we are a 7-piece progressive folk outfit based in south Devon looking to play in some location and at some festivals that would appreciate our style of music (quite hard to find around Plymouth!) Do you have any advice...

Our music can be viewed at www.myspace.com/thedharmabumsfolk/

My e-mail address is johnpaulpowell@hotmail.co.uk

Thanks for your help...

Johnny

i'm very biased but Pennymoor Singaround (in Pennymoor every 3rd Weds) is undoubtedly the bestest singaround in the world! Also a lovely mixed session every 1st Sunday in the Devonshire Inn, Sticklepath.

Sal - Jim's got a point. And you could walk to Sticklepath from South Zeal!
