Happy New Year from 2008, here in New Zealand!
The Oz catters will be joining us very soon but we arrived almost 2 hours ago. I had to pipe in Auld Lang Syne and then we had a feast that included ham, chicken, salads, pease puddin' and stottie cake and lots of lovely desserts too.
It's almost 2:00am here and I'm ready for bed.

the noise will start in about 15 minutes - my suburb is the centre of Sydney's entertainment area & currently there are zillions of parties & great numbers of pubs where folks are partying & getting ready to make even more noise to welcome in th new year.

I popped out before 9 to see a bit of the early fireworks (the bit that can be seen over fences & trees) & it was pretty!

But there are no pics up yet on the newspaper sites as far as I can see, tho the Melbournites have pics of their early fireworks.

well, when I started creating my previous post it was about 15 mins to midnight, but it's much closer now.

New Year noise starts & will go on until whenever - tho it had been slightly drowned out by firework noise.
