Subject: Tune Req: Luckenbooth From: GUEST,Jacqued Date: 06 Jan 08 - 03:02 PM Greetings! I have the Battlefield Band CD which contains the song "Last Trip Home" and in the middle of it is a piece of music entitled "Luckenbooth". Sounds a cracking whistle tune and I wonder if anyone could steer me to the tune's sheet music, please? Many thanks. |

Subject: RE: Tune Req: Luckenbooth From: Jack Campin Date: 07 Jan 08 - 04:14 AM If this is the 1800-ish Edinburgh children's song "As I went tae the Luckenbooths..." you DON'T want to do it as an instrumental, lovely as the tune is. The words will send shivers down your spine. It's on my "Embro, Embro" CD-ROM. Get an account and PM me, or send me an email, and I'll send it to you. |

I would guess that this one might contain the Luckenbooth, but you would be best to contact Kinmor Music to check. |
