There's good news and bad news.

The bad news is that John, the landlord of The Tudeley Oak, is likely to be leaving the pub in April. The good news is that he'd like us to organise one more folk session before he goes. We're aiming to have the session on a Sunday afternoon in March. The 23rd is out as I've got a gig on that day. It'll therefore probably be on the 2nd, 9th or 16th. I'd be grateful if anyone could let me know if any of these dates clash with anything significant (a free Martin Carthy concert in Tonbridge, for example, or perhaps Vin Garbutt playing in Yalding!).

As usual, it'll be hosted by Ruff 'n' Reddy and will be a mixed session.

For those who didn't get the information previously, the Tudeley Oak is in Tudeley, near Tonbridge, Kent; postcode TN11 0NT.

It's sad that yet another supporter of folk is giving up. I suppose it is a sgn of the times. I'm up for it

My personal festival list doesn't show anything for any of those dates, so I might pop along for a final fling as it were. It's a lovely venue with a supportive landlord & it'll be a shame to see it go. Thanks for trying to sort this out!!

I've confirmed the session with the landlord for 1 p.m. on Sunday, 9th March. It'll probably go on till about five or six o'clock.

I hope to see as many of you as possible there. Let's make it as good as, if not better than, the previous one.

Similar sessions may be in the pipeline at The Hook and Hatchet, Hucking (try saying that when you're pissed!), nr. Sittingbourne. This is still being negotiated. Watch this space, or rather, look out for a new thread!!
