"Why bother?"...well, if we do want as many folks as possible to check our work, we have to go beyond "real life" I suppose. In case you have'nt noticed, there is one good development on MySpace: the new radio (including folk radio) function; e.g., from here - http://www.myspace.com/walkaboutsverse - click on "All" then "Radio" or "Folk" radio.

Not really. It looks like you are still restricted on the number of uploads you can have and there is still the same messy interface.

As Suibhne said, Soundlcloud is much better. It still restricts you but by time and two hours allows quite a lot of tracks. You can get more by paying but I imagine you can get round that by creating multiple accounts with different email addresses.

Reverbnation seems to be growing in popularity, so I might investigate that.

But I hear that on Soundcloud there's little or no profile option? which is why I've gone with Reverbnation and Facebook - and if you set up Reverbnation first (pretty easy), you can link your FB profile to it, so that any changes you later make to RN will update automatically on FB.
