More details at IVFDF 2008

Hope to see some of you there!

I live in Sheffield and I shall most certainly be going. I went last time it was in Sheffield and a) it was a sell-out and b) it was superb weekend.

I did an interview (in the second half of the programme) with one of the organisers on my radio show 1/02/08. If you go to the thread thread.cfm?threadid=106141&messages=68#2258451
you can hear the interview. There are clickies to take you to the right places in the thread.

Kent? People coming all the way from Kent to Sheffield? Wow!!!!

Helpful hint - the venue is near to the 52 bus stop or the tram.

And you don't need to bring much money - the beer is a lot less expensive than darn sarf.

Hello!

The website has been updated with full details of workshops and a full timetable: www.ivfdf.ceilidhsoc.org

Getting here wise:

By car: it should be noted that the ring road is currently under construction and changes every two weeks or so. Sat navs will not necessarily be right! However, following the signs to "the University of Sheffield" (Note: not Hallam university) will work. The Postcode for the union is S10 2TG.It is just across the road from the arts tower, which looks like this: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Arts_Tower and is visible from most parts of Sheffield!

You can generally park on Favell Road S3 7QX and Hounsfield Road S3 7RF for free over an evening, but it is restricted on Saturday daytime. For free parking all weekend around here is best: Crookesmoor Road, S10 1BE. This is about ten minutes walk from the union and the sleeping venues.

If coming by train then get the yellow or blue tram from the station to the university tram stop. Walk away from the tracks without crossing them, cross the road and go slightly up the hill.

Jemma
