I know that Argentinean folk is not what people listen to often. But today one of the dearest local folklorists died, another victim of cancer, at the age of 63. Chango Nieto was a sensible singer and musician, with a very personal style, who made a great job in the fast popularization of our native music among the young audience.

Native music is that of the provinces, not related with Tango, which is the typical music of Buenos Aires, our capital and largest city.
