The debut album for Phil Beer's CR record label is the self titled 'Tom Palmer' album. It's official release date is March 17th. Audio clips on www.chudleighroots.co.uk and www.tom-palmer.co.uk.
You can hear Tom playing and being interviewed on BBC Radio Bristols Keith Warmington show on 13th march after 11pm.

The new Jackie Oates album 'The Violet Hour' is now in manufacture and will be released on the same date. Copies will be available direct from website very shortly. Interview with Jackie now up on http://www.spiralearth.co.uk/news/story.asp?nid=746

Both albums are produced by Phil Beer and recorded at the 'Show of Hands' riverside studio

Thank you for that. Jackie Oates may not belt, but her choice of material is wonderful.

Chudleigh Roots Records Myspace

There used to be a short, but rather lovely video on the main site, of Phil turning up for work, in his boat! Then he walked up the steps in the garden of his riverside studio, where Jackie and pals were busy rehearsing. It's the only way to get to work!

Isn't Jim Causley also due to record with Phil soon?

I wish him much success with it all.

Cuddles

I forgot to mention Tom Palmer. He has a wonderful, deep and powerful voice. Great guitarist too. I expect Phil has a link to Tom's myspace page on his CR one.

Blimey! Don't believe it!! Some recognition for Tom P at long long last. He's been a hero around here for years. Brilliant.

Tom was at the Albert Hall gig last year with those who must never be mentioned.

No, not Waterson/Carthy!

Show of Hands of course.

And excellent he was too.

A big brown bear of a voice.
