On the Beeb the other day (in relation to football matches being called off) "It's not really the amount of rain, just the length of time it's been raining"!

That sounds reasonable. It can rain 5" in an hour or 0.5" in 24 hours.

Had an old buddy ask me once if they made acoustic drums. Needless to say, he was a bassist. I always remind him of that story at the most awkward times and then use it as an example that it is possible to be a full-blooded Cherokee and still blonde. But you gotta love the fella!!!
