Subject: Tech: Making slides, on VCD, fit TV screen

Just got a new 'puter, with CD/DVD burner, and Nero. I've been putting together a slide show to run at my father-in-laws 90th birthday bash. So I made a up a trial sample on VCD. It ran fine, except that a little too much cropped off the edges, especially on images proportioned quite a bit different than the TV screen. So I made up a few slides in frames proportioned just like the TV, and for good measure I reduced some image "actual sizes" from a little larger than the TV to a little smaller. All of the narrower edges of my added frames, at least an inch or so, are still cropped off completely. Makes no difference if the resolution is 72 or 150. This TV displays jpegs fed from my digital camera with little or no cropping. Is there a reasonable way to beat this?
