Fancy a trip to Ireland? Ray and Verna have asked us to let you know about this one.

Ray and Verna are celebrating their 5th wedding anniversary (although they've been married 20 years!)in style at the Ouvane Falls Hotel, Ballylickey, Nr Bantry Bay, County Cork. There will be a party on Leap Year Day, 29th February, starting at 8.30pm with a band, plus they are hoping that song and music sessions will take place throughout the weekend.

There are several cheap flights to Cork, Dublin and Shannon, also coach service and ferry services. A bus service from Cork drops passengers outside the hotel.

The Ouvane Falls Hotel has 14 luxury rooms with en-suite facilities, at a reasonable cost. They can also advise you of other accommodation should they be fully booked.

Ray and Verna live nearby and introduced us to this fantastic place at the entrance to Bantry Bay, when we celebrated their last wedding anniversary in 2004 and we have visited them for other celebrations twice since.
            
They are inviting local musicians and singers to join us over the weekend and the invitation extends to those musicians, singers and friends over here who would like to celebrate with them.

In our particular group there are 8 of us going over - i.e.Merek'n'Dary, Jim and Annie, Alan W and Sandy, Trefor and Vicki but it would be nice to see more friends over there!
      
The scenery is breathtaking, with many local places worth visiting and you can be sure of a warm welcome and plenty of Guinness At The Ouvane Falls !

We would love to come but it is my sisters 70th birthday and she is having a bash. We send them both lots of love, though and no doubt will see them soon.

We would love to be there but will be sunning ourselves on the Med for a couple of months. However best wishes to Ray & Verna, and we might get over to see them later in the year as we believe it's always party time in Bantry!!
