Hi folks -

Since releasing my CD this summer I haven't had much chance to perform (a baby'll do that to you). But now I'm starting up again, with the help of West Chester Folk. These good folks are sponsoring a special house concert in my own town of West Chester, Pennsylvania. The concert starts at 8pm and will be at the home of Norm & Cathy Reimer. The suggested donation is $10.

i wish I could be there, Dan, but it is not to be. Any chance of you making it to Maine for a house concert? I have room for for CDs too.

I strongly urge anyone who can make it to catch Dan's concert. The guy is a strong singer and songwriter, and I've been lucky enough to hear him perform at the Getaway the last three years. Just really beautiful stuff!

Right there with ya, Ernie. He is one of the true talents in this world of ours. And as great a man as he is, he married way above his paygrade with the lovely Geetha.... ***chuckle***. It's no secret I think the world of this wonderful couple, and they whipped up a beaut of a kid, to boot. Can't wait to hear the music this child will make!!

But back to the topic at hand. Dan has a rare gift with the turning of the phrase. It was his song "May this Fire" that first caught my attention, and on hearing it once, knew I would have to record it at some point. He is like the perfect storm....captures a sentiment, wraps it up in beautiful lyrics, surrounds it with instrumental technique to die for, and sings with a voice one could only wish to have. You will not regret spending a night with him, in fact you will hear him once and know that you will have to hear him again.

You folks are going to make me blush. Mary, let's pm about a house concert in Maine. We'll be up there this summer in addition to any special trips later in the year. As for the UK? That would be a marvelous treat, if we can cobble together enough gigs to make it feasible.

Refreshing for anyone who missed the announcement earlier.

I've also been asked to remind folks that the location is at the intersection of South Wayne and College Avenue in West Chester - about a block from the university. If you go to the other college Avenue, you'll be completely stymied.
