Subject: Lyr Add: I'LL MEET YOU IN CHURCH SUNDAY MORNING From: Jim Dixon Date: 23 May 11 - 06:46 PM I found this one. It is sometimes called traditional and sometimes attributed to Bill Monroe. It has been recorded by Bill Monroe, The Stanley Brothers, Porter Wagoner, Rose Maddox, and a few others. I haven't found any confirmation that Hank Williams recorded it. I'LL MEET YOU IN CHURCH SUNDAY MORNING As sung by Porter Wagoner (Click for YouTube.) 1. On Sunday when the church bells start ringing, They're ringing for you and for me. Let's all gather round the altar And pray that our souls may be free. 2. I'll meet you in church Sunday morning, And we'll all kneel down and pray. We'll pray to our Lord up in Heaven, To guide us safe home on our way. 3. It's a place where we all meet on Sunday And worship our Lord up above, And let all our sins be forgiven, And meet with our loved ones above. REPEAT 2. |
Subject: Hank and The Wife From: egrandy@calvin.stemnet.nf.ca Date: 05 Nov 96 - 04:37 PM Years ago, I remember hearing at least one LP where Hank Williams Sr and his wife were singing duets. Some of the songs were Gospel music. Does anyone have the words to any songs performed by those two? I believe one title was "I'll see you in Church Sunday Morning". I would appreciate any suggestions. |
