Contrary to the rogue e-mail our friends are receiving Angi and Mick are not down and out and penniless in Kenya.
We're still entrenched in Darkest Whitby and you'll find us every Thursday Night at Whitby Folk Club in the newly refurbished Function Room of the Friendship Rowing Club. All folky friends etc. will receive a new e-mail address in due course.

Well I got one saying that the next evening, Angi & Mick would provide Fish & Chips and free beer.
Was that a scam :-)

Certainly we should. After speaking to Angi, I tried to contact their host without success, because I didn't have an account with them! Hope Angie has managed to do so.

Mick and Angie,
Sent me a new email address and then several hours later I received the scam letter from well who knows who.

It was obviously not from Angie or Mick or Liam as I know that not only that they were all still in Whitby. But that the language used in the Scam letter was not coming from any of the Haywood's.

I suspect that the use of the Haywood's Old email address is a problem caused by the use of it on the Coblers Monday and or Whitby Folk Club Websites. However it is also possible that a Virus has got into someone else's computer who is not using an up to date Anti Virus programme and that has caused the problem.

I would think that a good way to contact Mick and Angie or Liam for now would be via the Mudcat. Although Mick and Angie don't seem to use the Mudcat I know that they have plenty of friends who live in Whitby that do.

Angie I know finds typing difficult due to a little bit of Arthritis in her fingers. I often chuckle about the time I gave her a Dragon Dictate Programme, as I knew that she found typing difficult. Well Angie practised away with this software teaching it to recognise her speech commands. After a couple of weeks when I was once again visiting Angie and Mick I heard Angie who was trying to get Mick's attention say "Now   Listen To   Me!" in the same tone of voice she had been using to use Dragon Dictate. I'm don't know what she wanted Mick to do but the phrase "Now Listen To Me!" is the one that Turns Dragon Dictate On!

It's too late for old email addresses but you can disguise new addresses on websites using the method described here.
