Pete,

Yep, you've a Caravan spot booked. Only 2 left as things stand.

50% of the tickets have now gone (that's in less than a week and the event is over 3 months away!).

There is a rumour that a new tenant has been found for the pub (or you can buy it for £750k).....obviously if this proves true we'll look at using the car park for additional vans and see about using the pub for at least some sessions.

Paul

Longdogs and poachers - brilliant, Ruth. I feel a song coming on (once I've got over the disappointment of Pickering)

Can't really explain in polite company.

Should we start a thread away eh?
How about calling them Longdogs and Poachers - sounds like words from a song to me.

But seriously there are some brill acts on. Get your tickets before they are sold out...

See what's on and buy your tickets here

Suzy, our whipstaff, wants to know if she can join. She's already experienced at doing backing vocals for us. She suggests the band should be called The Bumsniffers.

Hamish.....as I said, you got all previous! Some details still to be worked out....like what do you want to loop with! Excellent news though, looped banjo anyone?

Greythound.....when talking to Poacher on Mudcat would you mind using his Mudcat name.....Banjidog of course! (I can't believe I'm having a conversation on-line for my dog!!!!!) He asks what the duo should be called?

Deirdre.....as requested above, you are number 1 (on the list)!

Paul

Great stuff... one quibblette... not "Guitar Looping Workshop" but "Looping Workshop"... voice, percussion, any instruments you like. It'll be highly participatory and whatever you play, we'll have a go at looping and overdubbing in real time: be your own folk orchestra!!! ~8^)

My mum is going and she might let me come if I am good. I am wanting to be a folk singer in my own right. (Does Poacher fancy forming a duo

Big woofs to Poacher.

We'll be there (complete with grubby caravan) as long we don't have to put up (or sing in) a marquee/kite.

Hi, Paul:

I know the festival is rising like a Phoenix from the pub closure...

...and I'm sure the wider Mudcat public would be keen to hear the current plans. e.g. still got Mary Humphries & Anahata, Duncan McFarlane (& Anne Brivonese?), Marie Little and Brother Crow, plus Big Sings and even a workshop or two...

It's gonna be great!!!

Can I come too Paul if I am good as I love listening to folk music. I even like banjos and when I bark the banjo echoes around the house.

Oh yes....now what was I saying about a ticket?. Can I really survive another triple banjo offering?.

Maybe stuffing my head into Kimsky's three sleeping bags would muffle the sound enough (always assuming that they aren't occupied, of course!).

Kim,

It's scarier than that....note Bill Lloyd is on the bill as well, we could have triple banjo "Cotton Mill Girls" again!.......I am sure we will sell out with people who just want to hear that!
