Go to www.imdb.com and search for Harry Lauder. You'll find a lot of information: i.e. he was in a 1936 movie musical called "Song of the Road" or "End of the Road" (different countries, different titles). "Roamin' in the Gloamin' " was played in the 1974 movie "Harry and Tonto." imdb is the Internet Movie Data Base, a font of information almost as bountiful as Mudcat.

According to 'The Sir Harry Lauder Discography' by Darrell Baker and Larry F. Kiner (1990), the song 'I Love a Lassie' was included in a film of the same name i.e. 'I Love a Lassie' (1907), which also featured Harry's wife Nance. From the same source, the song was first recorded by Harry on Saturday 26 August 1905. Gerald Grafton is credited as joint composer. He probably wrote or assisted with the music.

An elderly relative of mine said that she remembered Harry Lauders "I love a Lassie" from an old movie. I have not found anything about Lauders music used in movies, exept his own "Music Vides" that is not availeble today. Can anyone help me?
