Subject: OLDIES LYRICS WANTED
From: PUKIN47@AOL.COM

I hope someone can help me. I am looking for the lyrics for the songs, "Today" by the New Christy Minstrels, "There Was A Crooked Man" by the Serendepity Singers, "Silver Threads and Golden Needles", and "Rawhide". If there is a site I can go to get more of lyrics by the New Christy Minstrels, please let me know. There is also a song sung on TELETUBBIES, that I would like to find the lyrics for. Some of the words are something like:Little baby, little baby, Close your eyes, little babe. I would appreciate any help you can give me. Laurie

See the box in the upper righthand corner of this page? Where it says, in red letters, search the DigiTrad Database?

If you type in the titles of the songs you are looking for, you may find them there. Put the title, if you have it, in brackets, like this [today], then hit search. I've done this one for you. Just go here

Good luck,

Katlaughing

Also, forgot to say, when you start a thread, it is better if you put the title or whatever you know about the song, in the title of the thread. It saves time and lets people know right away what you're looking for.

PUKIN 47, did you perhaps commit a typo? You did mean "PUNKIN" didn't you? Just askin'?

That "Lullaby" done at the nursery on the "real people" segment of Teletubbies was wonderful! I sat everyday of the week with remote in hand ready to hit "record" waiting for the episode! I used to hum it to my son when he was very little...he's almost 20 months now.

Check the links in the recent thread "English Folk Songs and Tunes-Where to find??" that may help...also, Lyrics World may have some leads... LyricsWorld

Thanks for mentioning "There Was a Crooked Man", I'd forgotten about that one!

Mary

I was just browsing Lyrics World and that site has "Don't Let the Rain Come Down (Crooked Little Man)" as well as "Silver Threads and Golden Needles"...
