Subject: Luthiers near Tacoma, WA?
From: ClaireBear
Date: 28 Mar 08 - 12:30 PM

This question is not for me, but for Cameron, who posted a heartbreaking story in the "Haruo 12 String - What do we know?" thread. He would like to restore a guitar that was his brother's. It looks as though he has a few months to wait before the guitar can be refurbished, so even a luthier with a long wait-list would be okay. And I'm not really sure about Spokane, Washington, but that's where his brother died, where his mother lived, and where the police have the guitar, so it's a reasonable guess.

Please visit that thread and the associated newspaper link for the full account. Not sure if it would be better to post answers there, here, or both, but I was afraid Cameron's question would get lost in the shuffle on that thread.

Cheers,
Claire

You might send a PM to harpmolly. She's near Seattle, I think, but she may know of people over that way.

Thanks for bringing this to our attention. I imagine the guitar will be good for some healing in such a tragedy.

I thought you meant "Spokane WA". We don't have a Spokane in "Western Australia"

Cheers (on a lighthearted note)

Now you've changed the name of the thread and made me look bad.

Cheers (still on a lighthearted note)
