BS: Google Gone Spanish

No matter what I type in, even 'www.google.com', I get Spanish Google (www.google.es). Has Google been hacked? Is the April Fools' joke funnier if it's the day after? Has my computer got the Spanish Flu? Que pasa?

The computer with Vista is doing it, not the one with XP. It's probably Vista's fault. It might be something I did, but I'd rather blame the OS.

If you go to the Google.com page then just to the right of the search box should be 3 small links, the middle one being "preferences". Click that to get a choice of languages for your results, and a few other things besides. I have found it helpful to set it to look at UK pages, I still get the overseas results but they seem to appear further down the listing.

The 3rd option is language tools, which supposedly offers translations, but I'm a bit dubious about some of the results (see the various translated lyrics threads we have had)

This happens to me, too, on two different xp computers. Happens with the google start page and with the firefox google start page.

I admit I was a bit confoozled when the Google page came up all black...then I realized it was the Lights Out day. I can see Spanish on Cinco de Mayo...but it isn't.

Figure it out yet Jeri?
