D'Cats--

This came up on another thread, and now I'm confused...somebody said Twa Sisters was the name of a song about two sisters, and I thought "twa" meant three, from a phonetic corruption of "trois." I can't find any references to hand, and I've lost the link to that word-wizard website somebody posted awhile ago.

Can anybody straighten out my confusion???

Will somebody repost, or find, or something that wonderful word-wizard website????

Thanks----

V

PS Can somebody tell me why I time out or get other errors when I try a forum search on anything other than subject or person?

Vixen - as far as I know the "Twa" is from Lallands Scots, for "two" - I'd never heard the bit about "twa" from "trois"

Virtually no-one is able to do a "body" search on the forum. we have outgrown the current setup, and until the next major revamping (promised "soon") will only be able to search on subject or person.

At least, that's the story as I heard it, and I'm sticking to it.
