My use of the term 'old man' was simply because that is what Mr Coetzee is referred to on the youtube clip - hence my concern that he wasn't getting the credit he deserves.

The self-composed piece Hannes Coetzee is playing is called "Mahalla" and you tend to end up humming it or playing it in your head after a few listens as it's so catchy! This and clips of other excellent Karoo region musicians were compiled together on the DVD "Karoo Kitaar Blues" by Soth African musician and filmaker David Kramer.
