Folklore: Fyvie's Land?

In the song 'Bonnie Jeanie of Bethelnie', as sung by Dick Gaughan, the last line mentions 'Fyvie's Land'. Can anyone say what thir refers to?

My assumption is that it refers to the land "owned" by the Earl of Fife. See Tifty's Bonnie Annie for another reference.

Banjovey, your assumption would be entirely wrong. Fyvie is in Aberdeenshire, nowhere near Fife. There is no such title as the Earl of Fife.

Bethelnie is just a few miles from Fyvie. Fyvie Castle was the seat of the Lords of Fyvie, who owned a fair bit of the land thereabouts. Google will tell you more if you ask it.
