Do you like harp music, especially traditional?

I'm posting to tell you about a wonderful harper that I heard on last year's trip to Italy. Her name is Giuliana de Donno, and she plays interesting, exciting harp music from around the world.

I was with my husband and another couple, and I was following them, determined to remain sweetly cheerful as we looked at Art. Finally, after lots of nudes, curlicues, and nudes with curlicues, someone told us about 'Roma Che,' a little magazine. In Roma Che we read about Giuliana's concert. Two buses and a pizza later, there we were.

There were perhaps 40 people in attendance, all Italians except us. Giuliana had two harps, one South American and one Irish (I think.) She played music from Ireland, Brittany, Italy and South America. Her playing made me finally understand what a vilanccico is - it's someone talking Spanish using musical notes instead of words.

As an encore she played 'O Sole Mio.' It was so beautiful we could feel every heart in the room melting. For me, it was the most wonderful moment of the trip.

The program said that she had a CD in the works. The CD is finally ready, and you can order it at this site:

You have to click down the page to find her, but it's worth it.

Give me a moment, and I will post a video of her on stage.

It's rather amateurish, but it shows how skilled Giuliana is. She deserves our support.
