I don't know if this has been addressed before, but I would appreciate pointers to a solution to this.

I need to find software that could be used to take film clips out of DVD's to be interspersed into images used for my college astronomy lectures (perhaps in powerpoint or as a html presentation(which are local to my computer and not necessarily on the web)). I don't want to spend lots and lots of money for the software. I have both MAC and PC platforms.

Thanks for any help.
