Subject: RE: Using ABC to transpose to musical notation... From: John in Brisbane Date: 21 May 99 - 07:22 AM At Mudcat we probably need some form of standard reference on this subject. While I have started to write one it is going to take me some time. In the meantime may I suggest that you put the word 'Notation' in the Forum Search Box, and search for threads over the last 90 or 365 days. There are only 3 or 4 threads but they cover the subject pretty well.

Subject: RE: Using ABC to transpose to musical notation... From: Pete Fletcher Date: 21 May 99 - 03:19 AM Nan, Can't understand the problem. I assume you have downloaded a program to play and display ABC. This should print it, play it, transpose it, make a cup of tea as well probably. Look at ABC home page www.gre.ac.uk/~c.walshaw/abc/ Sorry, I can never seem to do the blue clicky things. Cheers, Pete |
Subject: Using ABC to transpose to musical notation... From: Nan Date: 20 May 99 - 11:38 PM It LOOKS like brain surgery but seems to be the only way to get loads of free tunes off the web. What has been your experience? I don't even know how to site read music but I can veeerry slowly transpose it to tablature and then play it! Let me know your thoughts on this shareware. Thanks! Nan |
